REGULAR MEETING
April 19, 2024
Katie Blume called the meeting to order at 8:30 AM. Council members in attendance: Robert Zeigler and Nickelaus Engle. Also in attendance, Cim Besecker Borough Treasurer and Denise Immel Borough Secretary. Absent Cecilia Gallup, Beth Cottrell and Mayor Steve Myers.

New Action Items
Invoices: none
A request has been received from the owner of 102 Penn Street to have Children at Play signs erected at the intersection of Penn Street and South Street also at South Street and West Street. Robert Zeigler made a motion to honor the request and instruct Borough crew to order and install the signs, seconded by Nickelaus Engle. Motion passed.
Variance fees:
As variance request have become more costly and as neighboring municipalities have in place a fee schedule for various requests it has become necessary to review the probability of a resolution covering the various fees for the Borough. Robert Zeigler made a motion to have a draft resolution prepared, seconded by Nickelaus Engle. Motion passed. Ms. Immel will gather information and consult with council to aid in preparing draft.
Old Action Items
Update on building grant:
Mr. Zeigler reported that the estimates received do not meet the minimum grant requirement.
Little League Lease:
Tabled, no representation for league
EDU survey discussion:
The updated draft letter and survey were reviewed. Request was made to add a return by date allowing 30 days for return and an additional information line. Robert Zeigler made a motion to approve the letter and survey be mailed upon completion of requested information, seconded by Nickelaus Engle. Motion passed.
Nickelaus Engle made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Robert Zeigler. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 AM.
