BUDGET MEETING

September 30, 2020

Robert Zeigler called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Council members in attendance: Robert Zeigler, Katie Blume, Patty Beckenbaugh and Steve Myers. Also in attendance Sherry Corman Treasurer/Assistant Secretary and Denise Immel Borough Secretary/Assistant Treasurer Secretary. Absent Beth Cowher and Lauralee Snyder.

New Action Items:

Review overall 2021 Budget:

The proposed budgets for 2021 were reviewed. Steve Myers made a motion to publish a notice indicating the 2021 budgets were available for review, seconded by Katie Blume. Motion carried.

Patty Beckenbaugh made a motion to cancel the budget meeting for October 17, 2020 and October 14, 2020.

Vote/approve all or most requested items for this year’s budget from employees:

Steve Myers made a motion to purchase all items requested except the grinder pump, seconded by Katie Blume. Motion carried.

Katie Blume made a motion to upgrade our existing Sensus equipment and program, seconded by Steve Myers. Motion carried.

A request has been received from a borough resident to use the Borough owned property on Centre Street as a drop point for a load of logs, to be cut and split within 2 days. Katie Blume made a motion to have Solicitor Miller draw up a hold harmless agreement permitting this usage, pending Solicitor Miller input, seconded by Steve Blume. Motion carried.

Robert Zeigler reported that Penns Valley code will be installing PV Wisp and will require an antenna be installed on the roof of the Borough building. Penns Valley Code to assume all costs. Katie Blume made a motion to allow the antenna be installed as requested, seconded by Steve Myers. Motion carried.

Robert Zeigler made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Katie Blume. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:00 PM.
