TOWN HALL MEETING

April 08, 2025

Nickelaus Engle called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Council members in attendance: Nickelaus Engle. Also in attendance Denise Immel Borough Secretary.

Citizens present:  Amber May, Tammy Myers, Tawny Holms and Gonzalo Rubio, 

Citizens input:

Nickelaus Engle indicated that Alan Auman may be interested in caring for the triangle at the intersection of Mill Street and Penn Street.

Developing a park authority would be beneficial in opening and creating walking trails and possibly additional parking.

The issues with the pool at Soldiers and Sailors Park was again brought up, the Borough can offer a place for meeting, the question was raised as to why the funds raised for the baby pool were not used to mend the pool instead the decision was made to fill it with sand.

Conditions of the sidewalks, both surface and weed issues were brought up. Attendees were reminded that sidewalks are the responsibility of the property owner. Sidewalk issues can be addressed with Penns Valley Code Enforcement. Residents would like to see a decrease in the no parking signs by using yellow stripes to indicated no parking areas and keep them well maintained. Additional off street parking and ATV access were also mentioned.

The March cleanup day went well, there was a small turnout but it was a good start. Next cleanup date April 19, 2025.

Fountain Parking is blooming, when the daffodils are done blooming they will all need to be cut back and the beds will all need to be edged.
