Millheim Borough has a Burning Ordinance. To view this ordinance in its entirety, click on the keystatepub.com link above to view Online Ordinances for Millheim Borough. During a Snow Removal Condition, which is defined as a snow fall accumulating three inches or more, all vehicles must be removed from the northerly and southerly side of the right-of-way of Main Street between the Main Street Bridge and Plum Street. A snow removal condition is presumed to continue for twenty-four (24) hours following the accumulation of snow.

2-hour parking in the downtown business district. Area is signed and offenders may be ticketed.

Parking is prohibited on certain sections of Penn Street.

Grass and weeds must not exceed a height of 6 inches.

Firearms may not be discharged in the Borough.

No animals may be allowed to make noise continuously and/or incessantly for ten (10) minutes or make such noise intermittently for one-half (1/2) hour or more to disturb other people at any time during the day or night.

It is illegal to collect riffraff, debris, abandoned/unlicensed vehicles, garbage or refuse on properties in the Borough.

An ordinance has been adopted requiring permits for yard sales, regulating the number of permissible yard sales, establishing a time for removal of yard sale signs, and providing penalties for violations.

Permits Required

    Building Permits are required for any construction, reconstruction or repair that alters the existing structure of the property. All new construction requires a building permit. Flood Plain Regulations apply to certain areas.

    A permit may be required to install/erect a sign.

    A permit is required for construction and/or reconstruction of sidewalks.

    A permit is required for yard sales.
